‘New Look’ section outs films in competition

Lineup of selected movies to attend the ‘New Look’ section of the Fajr Film Festival have been announced.

The selected films are ‘Life Hanging’ directed by Mehdi Ali Mirzaei, ‘Gold Carrier’ co-directed by Hossein Amiri-Doumari and Pedram Pouramiri, Reza Zehtabchian’s ‘Watching This Movie is a Crime’, ‘Orange Days’ by Arash Lahouti, Javad Razavian’s ‘Venom’, Milad Sadrameli’s ‘Tsunami’, ‘Reverse’ by Poulad Kimiaei, ‘Buffoon’ by Homayoun Ghanizadeh and ‘Yalda’ by Masoud Bakhshi.

Ahmad Amini, Mohammad Ali Hosseinnejad, Hassan Khojasteh, Shahrokh Dolko, Behrouz Shoeibi and Reza Maghsoudi have been the jury members deciding which movies to attend this part of the festival.

Fajr Film Festival’s ‘New Look’ is specified to the first-time directors who have made their first feature film that has acquired cinema screening permit.

Established in 1982, Fajr Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
